CHAMPAIGN — Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano in Champaign, now the oldest locale in the chain, is going to get a full new appear.
The restaurant will shut for three weeks for interior remodeling, commencing July 17, Controlling Companion Cassidy Hoke said.
The restaurant aims to reopen Aug. 6.
The revamp will alter the interior’s color palate and will include things like new tile flooring, lights and tables, Hoke mentioned.
The restrooms will be gutted and redone, and there will also be a new bar and carry-out pickup spot, she reported.
The undertaking also will incorporate elimination of a wall with a fireplace, as properly as the transformation of a non-public dining spot into a semi-non-public place, Hoke reported.
And a smaller sized spot for private get-togethers will have 1 massive new desk in its place of smaller tables pushed collectively.
The restaurant will close up with about the similar capability, but much more of the seating will be readily available in booths, she said.

Hoke explained the new seem of the Champaign Biaggi’s will be very similar to Bloomington’s.
Biaggi’s existing 17 destinations are in Illinois, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin.
