Gravity adds Idea Foundry incubator space to Franklinton development

The Gravity improvement in Franklinton is including the Idea Foundry to its eye-catching blend of flats, offices, retail and places to eat.

Gravity’s builder, Kaufman Growth, is shopping for the 65,000-square-foot Strategy Foundry at 421 W. State St., which Kaufman calls “the world’s premier makerspace.” The making, which reopened previous summer time following becoming shut early in the pandemic, will turn into component of the adjacent Gravity improvement.

“The Concept Foundry has prolonged been a lively and inclusive maker house for creators, innovators and futurists, and we are excited to officially include their energy and enthusiasm into the Gravity community,” Kaufman Improvement founder Brett Kaufman said in a information launch saying the order.

Plan Foundry and Gravity: How the deal will operate

The Plan Foundry will continue to be managed by Alex Bandar, who founded the artistic center in 2008. Kaufman Advancement is buying the constructing from the previous Columbus promoting govt Nancy Kramer and entrepreneur Christopher Celeste, who have owned it since 2015. The order price tag was not disclosed.

“Kramer and Christopher took a scrappy, grassroots community of makers, place us in a rocket ship and released us. Now, Brett is refueling us to choose us even higher,” Bandar claimed in the information launch.
