Inside a creative’s colourful home in the Southern Highlands

It is not each day that a dwelling renovation is impressed by a rug but it takes place to be the case for this Southern Highlands NSW residence owned by Designer Rugs account manager Jonathon Murray and his husband Brian Hadnutt. “My customer had a outstanding Designer Rugs rug in his dwelling home, boasting exciting patterns and colours these types of as ruby, orange, scorching pink, black and white. “Generally, the residence experienced wonderful bones, but it was a little bit vanilla,” says Lynne, who set about reworking the household with color, texture, and floorplan alterations. The renovation also had to enhance the couple’s existing household furniture and act as a backdrop to their art and antiques collections.

As for the main dwelling spot, a new fuel fireplace acts as a focal point and welcome space for attendees – Dulux Red Vine generates drama in the house. “There was no hearth in this area, so we developed just one with bench seating both side and underneath seat storage.
