Rocco Whalen will be using his considerable culinary skills to downtown Cleveland. The veteran chef and operator of Fahrenheit (2417 Professor Ave., 216-781-8858) in Tremont and Charlotte, North Carolina, will be opening a new cafe at 55 Public Sq., which is in the process of a key renovation. The new Fahrenheit will be a two-tale cafe with rooftop seating in the prolonged-dormant John Q’s Steakhouse spot. Whalen claims that he is capturing for 3rd quarter 2022 for an opening.

“The developer definitely wished a Rocco Whalen restaurant on Community Sq.,” Whalen describes. “I’ve had 8 yrs to carve my tooth in Charlotte on the rooftop. I feel I know what we’re accomplishing and I want to have a minor little bit of exciting, but also to make the restaurant what it must have been finally.”&#13

Whalen opened Fahrenheit in Tremont 20 decades ago for just $50,000, he says.
